As part of the JLR UI design team, working with Special Vehicle Operations, I was tasked with creating the instrument cluster graphics and car vehicle images for the Jaguar Project 8. The Instrument graphics change when selecting the different driving modes and needed to reflect the shift in driving focus.
Blue dials with contrasting red needles and a 'torch' effect illumination are presented in the Normal driving mode.
Grey dials with contrasting green needles and a 'torch' effect illumination are presented in the Eco driving mode.
Selecting the Dynamic driving mode changes the graphics to red, with a contrasting blue pointer. In this mode there is a 'comet' gradient that follows the needle around the dials.
Selecting the Track mode switches the graphics to a single dial rev layout with a centre speed readout and gear display to prioritise performance orientated information.
